Vernal pools are unique and vital breeding grounds for amphibians and a host of other fascinating creatures. They also play a critical role in supporting the larger food web. Join this Earth Day exploration (and celebration!) of a vernal pool, looking for egg masses, amphibians, and invertebrates, and learning why it is important to protect these small bodies of water.

Cancellation may occur if:
- Temperatures over 91 Degrees F due to potential for heat exhaustion
- Forecast for thunderstorms or steady rain
- Temperatures in the teens or below
- Unsafe driving conditions
