Join us in stewarding our local waterway! In partnership with the Center for Peace Through Culture and local public schools, BNRC is hosting a workday to help restore the banks of the Housatonic River. Thanks to the DCR Woodland Watershed Regeneration Pilot program, we will have 30 trees and shrubs to plant with the help of volunteers. Other tasks include trash and invasive species removal. All ages welcome!
This workday is part of a larger, ongoing effort to care for the river via education and the arts. Following the cleanup, please consider attending a speaker panel on River Stewardship from 5 to 7pm at Center for Peace through Culture (137 Front Street, Housatonic).
