Housatonic Heritage Hike

This BNRC sponsored free hike led by Naturalist and Tamarack Hollow Director Aimee Gelinas will follow the Housatonic River and feature riverbank and floodplain ecology. Participants will learn about the flora (plants, trees, wild edibles), the fauna (signs of wildlife) and cultural history of this unique conservation land along the Housatonic River.

Location: ​​​​​​Old Mill Trail, Hinsdale​​​​​​​

​​​​Difficulty: 2 miles roundtrip, mostly flat ground

What to Bring: Please bring water, wear sturdy footwear, and layers. 

Language: This hike will be led in English.
